Job Summary:


CRU Health is an integral part of the multi-agency Central Referral Unit. The Administrator will support the Specialist Health Lead and Safeguarding Specialist Advisors in their roles as part of the multi-agency Central Referral Unit by carrying out patient information searches, obtaining relevant health information and liaising with other health professionals and organisations. They will be responsible for managing databases, flow of communications and logging information for reporting and assurance purposes.


This is a fast moving, often pressured environment in which to work and requires resilience and compassion. The role is set out in the CRU Health Standard Operating Procedure and Service Specification.


  • Carrying out general administration duties including answering the phone, electronic filing, generating basic reports, data entry, responding to emails and diary management.
  • Taking minutes and distributing approved copies to staff
  • Accessing patient care record as and when required
  • Arranging a variety of meetings, workshops and presentations
  • Deal with telephone enquiries from staff and other health and social service departments
  • Support colleagues to use systems or understand processes
  • Triaging requests for information in a timely manner
  • Venue and Room bookings
  • First point of contact for system queries, providing support and advice via a number of mechanisms to assess, resolve and escalate system issues

Skills/Experience Required:


Essential

  • A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare.
  • Or you will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C/ 4-9 or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • You'll need to have recent experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Aawareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage
  • You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases
