Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Officer

Rochdale Council, is seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Officer to join their service!

Responsibilities of this role:

• Lead on safeguarding and child protection within the organisation

• Identify, record, and respond to safeguarding concerns

• Make referrals to children’s social care and other agencies

• Liaise with professionals (social workers, police, health, schools)

• Ensure policies and procedures are followed

• Support staff on safeguarding issues

• Maintain confidential records

• Promote a safe culture for children and vulnerable people

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.

• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)

• Must have minimum of 3 years Post Qualifying experience working as a social worker
