Job Description
Birmingham City Council is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Children and Families Directorate as Education Safeguarding Senior Officers working within district teams. In this vital role, you will provide operational oversight and ensure the effective delivery of safeguarding services within schools and other educational settings within the district. As an Education Safeguarding Senior Officer, you will play a crucial role in responding to safeguarding concerns, managing critical incidents, and ensuring that children out of sight of education are appropriately safeguarded. You will provide support to schools within a district operating model, produce and analyse data to identify trends, and contribute to statutory safeguarding processes. Your responsibilities will include delivering school safeguarding improvement, managing escalated cases, and representing the Education Safeguarding team in multi-agency audits and meetings. Your efforts will help maintain high standards of practice and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community.
