Berks & Bucks FA is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in football.
Berks & Bucks FA is seeking a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Manager or an individual with strong safeguarding experience and expertise to play a vital role in ensuring that children and vulnerable adults not only feel safe, but actively participate and thrive in the game. This is a key leadership role within our organisation, helping to embed a culture where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and where safe, fun football environments are the standard across our communities.
About the role:
As Safeguarding Manager, you will lead and coordinate all safeguarding activity across Berks & Bucks FA. Working closely with clubs, leagues, volunteers and national FA colleagues, you will ensure safeguarding standards are upheld, concerns are managed effectively, and best practice is embedded at every level of the grassroots game.
You will:
• Lead the delivery of safeguarding across the County FA, ensuring compliance with FA policies, legislation and the Safeguarding 365 framework
• Manage and respond to safeguarding and child protection concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Provide expert advice, guidance and training to clubs, leagues and welfare officers
• Build strong relationships with key partners including statutory agencies, the FA and local stakeholders
• Carry out club visits, audits and monitoring to promote safe, positive football environments
• Champion a proactive approach to safeguarding through education, awareness and continuous improvement
