Job Summary:
The Safeguarding Team has a full time vacancy for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and innovative Named Nurse. Applicants must hold a registerable nursing qualification and have recent experience of safeguarding children and young people. Previous experience of working within a Safeguarding Team would be an advantage.
This role will be a Think Family position covering safeguarding for both adults and children. You will be required to work across SWFT and George Eliot Hospital (GEH). Primary base is in SWFT CV34 4RT.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the Safeguarding Children Team, Named and Designated Doctors, Designated Nurse and other agencies to ensure that the organisation meets its safeguarding children responsibilities and that children are effectively safeguarded.
The post holder will provide expert advice, support, training and safeguarding children supervision to health staff across the organisation.
The post holder will contribute to effective to the multi-agency partnership working arrangements for safeguarding children.

Skills/Experience Required:

- RN/RNC/RM/Specialist Community Public health Nurse/ Social Worker
- Teaching qualification or equivalent experience

- Substantial recent post qualification experience, working at Masters degree level

- Experience of complex safeguarding work

- Understanding of current legislation and guidance relating to safeguarding children
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all aspects of the work of the department

- Must be able to demonstrate experience in providing safeguarding supervision
