TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also.

We are now looking for someone who shares that commitment to join us in the role of Safeguarding Officer.

About the role

The Safeguarding team are looking to recruit a Safeguarding Officer. As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a key role in promoting the safety, wellbeing and success of our learners. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will provide expert safeguarding guidance, manage safeguarding concerns and ensure timely intervention and support for vulnerable young people.

You will coordinate multi-agency responses, contribute to child protection and early help processes, and help create a safe, inclusive environment where learners feel supported.

About the person

Applicants should hold a minimum level 2 safeguarding qualification and evidence their extensive experience and knowledge of safeguarding children and young people. The successful applicant should have experience of working as a Safeguarding lead and multi-agency working. An understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education is also essential.

Specialist knowledge of the applicant will include:

• Mental Health

• Early Help process

• Social, Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties

• Information, advice and guidance

• Positive engagement activities

• Learning disabilities and difficulties

The role also requires strong case management skills, the ability to respond confidently to emerging safeguarding risks, and a commitment to ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to thrive.
