Job Description
Job Summary:
- As a qualified and experienced Children’s Social Worker, you will effectively manage a diverse caseload of children, young people and families within the Permanence Service, covering Children in Care and Children Looked After
- As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be confident in undertaking direct work using as well as completing comprehensive analytical assessments within set timescales
- You will be responsible for complex decision making, being able to clearly identify levels of risk, always ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people, using your professional judgement, critical reflection and evidence-based tools
- Social workers are always innovative and creative in using a wide range of social work interventions to minimise risk and improve outcomes, ensuring that the child/young person is always centre to the plan and their voice is heard throughout
- You will be confident to build and maintain professional relationships with excellent communication and engagement skills
- This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
